IllustrationA good gift says "I know you." For the people in your life who carry Israel with them, that might be a cap they'll actually wear, a jar of the tahini they swear by, or a bottle for the Friday night table. Here's where we'd start, by budget, with the timing notes we wish every gift guide included.
Under $40: everyday things they'll actually use
- Shalom Embroidered Cap, $32. An unstructured cotton dad cap with "Shalom" in tonal script. Quiet enough for the office, warm enough for the ballpark. Stone, navy or olive.
- TLV Minimalist Cap, $32. Three small letters for anyone who has ever landed at Ben Gurion and felt like they were home. Stone or black.
- Jaffa Arches Heavyweight Tee, $38. Our line drawing of old Jaffa's arches across the back, a small wordmark on the front. Ivory or black, S to 2XL.
- An Israeli pantry box. A bag of Bamba, a jar of tahini from a maker like Al Arz, and some za'atar make a host gift that disappears by Sunday. Many US grocers carry them in the kosher or international aisle. New to these? Read our guide to Israeli pantry staples.
Under $75: the "you really thought about this" gift
- Cap + Tee Bundle, $60. Any MEGA cap plus the Jaffa tee, $10 less than buying them separately. Pick the cap, color and tee size.
- A bottle of Israeli wine. Kosher wineries like Recanati, Carmel and Tabor are widely available at US wine shops, which makes them an easy host gift for a holiday dinner.
- Something from Jerusalem. Studios like Yair Emanuel and Barbara Shaw make pieces for the Shabbat table, the kitchen and the holidays.
The splurge
- Jewelry from Michal Negrin. Romantic, vintage-inspired pieces that read as "special occasion."
- Swimwear from Gottex. A Tel Aviv label since 1956, for the friend already planning a winter trip somewhere warm.
- Sandals from Naot or Source. The kind of gift that becomes "the shoes I wear everywhere."
Who it's for
- The host: a bottle of Israeli wine, or the pantry box above.
- The bar or bat mitzvah: a cap or tee they'll wear long after the party, plus a card with a real note.
- The Birthright alum: the TLV cap. They'll get it.
- The person who has everything: the Cap + Tee Bundle, because nobody has this one yet.
Timing, honestly
Hanukkah 2026 starts on the evening of Friday, December 4. Our caps are part of the founding drop: we make the batch after pre-orders close and ship by the date shown on each product page. Our tees are printed to order and usually ship in 3-7 business days. If you're ordering from an Israeli brand directly, check their site for shipping times and duties to the US before you count on a date. More on that in Hanukkah 2026: dates and when to order.
